School of Raven (yes, we are really going ahead with it)
i am planning to start my wrestling school on may 6 in conjunction with gcw. we will begin training at the columbus ga. training center and hopefully be moving to atlanta as things progress. i will be hands on, 100% if anyone is worried. i will also have johnny swinger helping me train people, and if i didnt think highly enough of him, he wouldnt be doing it.
Two trainers
part of the reason i am charging a bit more than other schools is b/c of the two person method. i may be wrong, but in other schools, you wont get a major star like myself along with a 15 year veteran who should be a star, training you. the only reason swinger currently isnt a star and unavailable to train people, is due to the simple fact of not being the right guy in the right place. in fact, his misfortune is your luck, b/c with two people, that means, one will be in the ring working with you, and one will be watching and critiquing body posture, movement, etc.
this way, it wont be one student locking up with anothe student on day one, and both knocking each other's dicks in the dirt or accidently tripping each other and breaking an ankle or something far more disastrous and stupid. school will be very hands on, til you are ready for it to be less so.
Gcw, Tv, Locker Room Etiquette
we will guarantee you at least one match, and part of the reason i have chosen to work with gcw is b/c they have a promotion that runs weekly, and has tv, so the opportunity for students to truly excel and grow is there. that way, after i train them, it will, if they are qualified, give them an early start into the business. plus by working with a promotion, they will see the inner workings of a locker room, learn backstage etiquette, and other aspects of the business they wont learn elsewhere.
If Already Trained, as well as Daily or Weekly Customized and Specialty Training; Individual Matches
I have gotten a lot of feedback from workers who are already trained who want to take it to the next level; whether its developing their character, polishing their work, learning psychology, learning how to draw money, how to cut a promo, etc. i will work out a financial plan with them.
if you just want to roll around the ring to see what its like, i can work out a financial plan with you. if you want to come for a few days just to pick my brain, i will work out a financial plan with you. if you are a non-athlete who just wants to say they were in a ring with raven, i can make that dream come true. i can design and tailor a match that will allow you with no training to have a match with me to show your kids. once again, i will come up with a different financial plan.
hopefully you see my point. whatever it is you want that has to do with wrestling, learning to book, valet, manage, ref, commentator, etc. i can make it happen. anything. all fees are subject to what you choose to learn. dont be afraid of the costs, b/c who can put a price on fufilling your dreams. i have spent years giving away my knowlege to the boys who would listen, now i am practically giving it away to you. dont be foolish. take advantage, b/c whatever plan you choose, you cant put a price on your passion.
Dont let your Dreams Die
people always ask me "what made you decide to get into wrestling" and i tell them, i didnt want to be 50 years old, going i could've done that. however, the most important thing is this, whether you have a 20 year career, a 2 year career, or one match and you're done, you are a success, because you followed your dream. the only failure is the guy who never tried and sat on his couch convincing himself that he had a good reason for not pursuing something he so desperately wanted. dont be that guy.
what have you got to lose. money grows on trees, no matter what anyone tells you, but life, it happens once, and if you miss it, well all i can say is, i truly feel sorry for you.

Training, Schedule, Lodging,
training will be 3 days a week. tuesday night, wednesday night, and thursday. thursday night is the weekly tv taping which draws 350-450 people. this will allow anyone who lives within 500 miles to drive in go to school for 3 nights, and drive home for the weekend. it allows you to keep a bouncing gig or whatever job you need to support yourself on the weekends. if you are within 100 miles, you will be able to keep, or if you move here get, a 9-5 job, 5 days a week. you would miss thursday day training, but you would still be there for tues, and wed, and thurs, nite taping(to watch and learn). we are working on weekly cheap lodging for those who move here. cheap motels are available in the area, and if a couple people share a room, its even less.
School and Costs
realizing that money is scarce because of that prick George Bush, we want to give an introductory school rate of only 4000 dollars. for those considering, but waiting til next semester, beware, by not joining now, you run the risks of the rates going up.
The school will be broken down into semesters. Each semester being 4 months. After passing the first four months, one can then sign up for the advanced class. There will probably be a 3rd and final experts class. Tuition will probably be broken down this way:
- 1500 dollars up front(but we can work with you, if we think its worth it)
- monthly installments of 500
-you miss installments, you miss class
-as soon as you pay up, you are right back in
-since classes should be going year round, and each individual will make different progress, it wont matter if you miss a month, b/c everyone will be worked with indivdually yet within the group and at their own pace.
There would be a 15% discount off the tuition cost if full payment is made up front.
On a Side Note
i will be wrestling in portugal on march 28,29, but will also be there the 27th and 30th if someone wants to book me while i'm there, whether it be a personal appearance or what since how often am i in portugal. oh yeah, i've never been there. also i will be in germany april 4-6, and wrestling for my good buddy , ecky, but if someone is interested in booking me on friday april 4, or sun april 6, please contact the office@theraveneffect.com. i like germany, and i need more reasons to go there. the fans are awesome, except the goofy heel fans, who think they are honoring me by cheering me when i'm a heel. its actually very uncomplementary. if they want to complement me and show their love for me, boo me, b/c that is what i want. in fact, boo me so loud you lose your voice. that is the ultimate complement to a heel, not being cheered. but thank you for caring and support even though.
