The series was set in the same timeline as the celebrated "Batman: Year One" storyline in the Batman comic books written by Frank Miller, the man who gave Batman the edge that made him the Dark Knight in the pop culture imagination. In Year One, Bruce Wayne has just begun to don the Batman costume and has an understanding with Commissioner Gordon and then District Attorney Harvey Dent, but is still seen at large as a vigilante. Batman: The Long Halloween centers on a series of murders happening in Gotham City, dubbed by the police and the media as "The Holiday Killings." The Holiday Killings, as the media flatly labelled them, were a series of murders comitted on selected holidays throughout a one-year period. Each issue of the series concentrates on a different holiday in that given month (i.e. Halloween, April Fool's Day, Valentine's Day, etc) and Batman's effort to unravel the mystery before he kills again. The crux of the tale, however, focuses in on one important supporting character, Gotham City District Attorney, Harvey Dent. While he's important as Batman and Gordon's friend in the series, it is this story that propels into motion the series of events that turn Harvey Dent into the villainous Two-Face. When Batman captures the Holiday Killer, he turns out to be the son of Gotham Mob Boss, Alfonse Falcone, who at his trial, throws acid at the face of Harvey Dent, thus deforming him and creating Two-Face. Raven wore this shirt once, on ECW Television, in a promo before a match against the Sandman on the December 3, 1999 edition of ECW on TNN .
