Iron Man - Sean Chen Design - The design for the Iron Man t-shirt by artist Sean Chen. Brief History - Iron Man was another creation from Marvel mastermind Stan Lee, first introduced in Tales of Suspense #39 in March of 1963. On a trip to southeast Asia, billionaire industrialist Tony Stark is captured by a terrorist warlord named Wong Chu. Near death after being stricken in the chest by a shrapnel wound, famed inventor Stark, alongside fellow captive, Professor Yin Sen, devise a miraculous chest plate to keep Stark alive and a suit of fighting armor to battle Wong Chu. Unable to prevent Yin Sen's death at the hands of Wong Chu, Stark dons this suit of armor and ends Wong Chu's reign of terror, for Stark's suit of iron now makes him a unstoppable juggernaut for good forged from flesh and steel; a literal "iron man." Iron Man's strong and amazingly flexible micro-mesh armor contains an incredible high tech weapons system. With it, he can shrug off anything from bullets to bomb blasts, stun enemies with powerful repulsor rays, fly rings around them with his jet-powered boots and effortlessly carry them off to jail. Iron Man is clearly the ultimate heavy-metal superhero. Raven first sported this particular t-shirt on the December 14, 2000 edition of WWF Smackdown! in a hardcore match against the Undertaker.
