Delirium - Jill Thompson Design - The design for the Delirium T-Shirt drawn by Jill Thompson. Brief History - Delirium is a character from Neil Gaiman's 'The Sandman'. She is the youngest of the Endless. Delirium appeared first at a family reunion in The Sandman 21(Season of Mists: a prologue). She was at one time, Delight. The change is still a mystery, but it is safe to say she has been Delirium for quite some time. There are a few times throughout the series that you get to see Delirium as Delight. Once, in Brief Lives while walking through Destiny's garden with Dream. Delirium is certainly not the most stable of the Endless. Her appearance changes often, especially in Brief Lives. She usually appears as a child from the ages of 12-15. Her eyes are mismatched. Her right eye is an apple green and her left is a vein blue. She can, though, make them match, but admits that it 'hurts'. Delirium forgets things as soon as it happens. She loses things easily and is confused a majority of the time. But this does not mean she isn't intelligent. Delirium has shown us many times that even she, being the embodiment of insanity, knows things not even Destiny knows, things that aren't written in his book. It has been rumored that Delirium was created in Tori Amos' image. Well, to clear this up, it's not true. Neil Gaiman created Delirium before Tori and him had met. Although, he does not deny Delirium resembles Tori in some forms, she was not originally created in Tori's image. Raven first wore this shirt at the 2001 WWF Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View on 1/22/01.
