Back during Raven's WCW tenure, Raven and his Flock were part of an MTV/WCW co-venture entitled "MTV's Ultimate Music Video Feuds" on May 16, 1998. It entailed various wrestlers representing musicians in their feuds/squabbles with other musicians. As a part of this, Raven made it to the finals of this event championing Courtney Love and her band, Hole. The track that accompanied Raven on this occasion was the single "Violet." Raven's pairing with Hole was perhaps done so due to his character's "Generation X" grunge rock roots, with Ms. Love's being the widow of Kurt Cobain, the "godfather" of grunge rock, and Hole itself being part of the genre then as well.
