WCW Monday Nitro: Raven Appearance: Chris Benoit vs. Kidman: (12.1.97) - This was originally supposed to be Chris Benoit vs. Raven - Raven refuses the match and sends Kidman into face Benoit. The mysterious blonde guy is still there and still unidentified. In the ring Kidman gets creamed from the beginning. Benoit is pissed that Raven didn't take the match and calls him out. Raven stands up but doesn't approach the ring. Benoit continues to pound on his opponent and taunt the birdman. The fight goes to the floor where Saturn gets in a shot then Kidman throws his shooting star press off the ring apron and succeeds! Back in the ring he keeps up the pressure but can't put his opponent away. Blondie at ringside holds a "Kidman World Tour 1997" sign. Kidman starts to flag and Benoit comes back strong. He gets his submission hold on and wins the match as the Flock swarms. He fights them all off until he faces Hammer - who keeps his attention long enough for Raven to spin him around and apply his DDT.

WCW Monday Nitro: Chris Benoit vs. Lodi: (12.7.97) - Once again, this match was supposed to be Raven vs. Benoit, but the new blonde Flock member gets to face Benoit this time. He is identified as Lodi (pronounced low-dee). The fight starts on the floor and Lodi gets creamed right away. Benoit basically destroys his opponent. He ends it with the Crippler Crossface after not a lick of offense from his the Flock member. Raven is not in evidence tonight and his Flock doesn't seem to know how to act without his guidance. Benoit grabs a mic and says "Quote the Crippler...never more." He throws out a challange to Raven to come out and fight him which goes unanswered, proving him wrong about a Raven setup that night.

WCW Monday Nitro: Chris Benoit vs. Riggs: (12.14.97) - Once again, Raven vs. Benoit is announced and it doesn't happen. Raven is actually injured during this time and this was the angle thought of to explain his absense. We haven't seen Raven tonight so far, and I doubt that we will. Scotty Riggs takes the match tonight. Riggs comes on very aggressive and has the advantage for about 15 seconds. Then the Wolverine takes over and Riggs gets chopped down to size. Riggs manages to come back briefly but can't keep the advantage for any length of time. They go out to the floor where Riggs again comes turns the tables. We get a close up of his right eye which is still cloudy but no longer covered. He loses the initiative again and the match see-saws. The Crippler applies...the Crippler to win the match. Benoit grabs a mic and shouts "Quote the Crippler, nevermore!" - he says that the Flock claims to be the non-conformists but he is the real one - then he launches himself over the railing at them! They overwhelm him and have him back in the ring for a beating as we cut to commercial.

WCW Monday Nitro: Chris Benoit vs. Hammer: (12.21.97) - Chris Benoit vs. Whoever-substitutes-for-Raven this week - this time its Hammer. This is his debut since joining Raven's flock. Benoit topples the big guy with a drop-kick to the knee right off the bat. Hammer is no match for the "Canadian Crippler" despite his size advantage. The fight goes out to the floor then Benoit allows himself to be distracted by Saturn at ringside. Even so he takes the initiative back once they return to the ring but Hammer finally gets a break and starts using his size advantage. The fight goes out to the floor again and Benoit comes back strong. The flock swarms and Benoit can barely hold them off. Saturn comes off the apron and Benoit goes down. He slaps on the "Rings of Saturn" to subdue the Wolverine. He is thrown back into the ring and punked. Cut to commercial.

WCW Starrcade PPV: Raven Appearance: Saturn vs. Benoit: (12.27.97) - Raven saunters to the ring as Dave Penzer introduces him. Raven takes the mic away and sinks into the corner. He says he has chosen not to wrestle and tosses the match to Saturn.
Saturn vs. Chris Benoit - no DQ match - the crowd takes up the ECW chant again as Saturn approaches the ring. Benoit takes the mic as he enters - he addresses Raven who jumps onto the apron attempting to distract him as Saturn attacks from behind. Benoit spins around and chops the inrushing Saturn to the mat. The match is on and Benoit is holding the upper hand until Saturn muscles him out of the corner and beals him. They trade blows and the match see-saws. The match goes to the outside where both Sick Boy and Kidman get involved to Benoit's detriment. Back in the ring, Saturn is in charge for the first time. He works on Benoit's neck. Saturn throws a moonsault but gets caught on the knees of his opponent. Both men are reeling. Saturn recovers first and continues his assault on Benoit's neck and head. He goes for the pin twice but no cigar. Now he seems to hesitate - never a good idea when your opponent is such as Chris Benoit. Sure enough the match see-saws again. Benoit seems to regain his composure but Saturn absorbs the blows. He puts Benoit down then slowly climbs the rope. Benoit is playing possum and traps him there then throws him to the mat. They fall out to the floor where Benoit slaps on the Crippler Crossface. The Flock swarms but Benoit manages to keep his cool and upset their efforts as Saturn moonsaults off of the apron and knocks them all down. Benoit rolls Saturn back in and has to fight off the Flock again - Raven slips up behind him and puts on a DDT. Saturn applies the Rings to take the win.

WCW Monday Nitro: Raven Appearance: Chris Benoit vs. Hammer: (12.28.97) - Raven is sitting ringside. He rants about Chris Benoit - calls him a "masochist" and says he must have serious mental problems. He sends Hammer to do his dirty work.
Hammer vs. Chris Benoit - Benoit comes to ringside and launches himself over the railing right into the midst of the Flock. They eject him and Hammer drags him into the ring. Hammer is such a poor performer that Benoit has to help him complete a super-plex. Moments later he moves out of the way of the Hammer (who hangs himself up in the corner) and then slaps on the Crippler Cross-face. The Flock swarms as usual but this time Mongo McMichael comes to the rescue. Together they demolish the Flock. Cut to commercial.
