Raven Appearance: Not Another MTV Movie Special: (12.13.01) - MTV VJ Dave Holmes hosts this behind the scenes look at the upcoming teen movie spoof "Not Another Teen Movie" [originally entitled "Ten Things I Hate About Clueless Road Trips When I Can't Hardly Wait to Be Kissed") which opens at movie theatres nationwide in the U.S. on December 14th. Holmes has all of the film's principal actors in for discussion; current Maxim cover girl Jaime Pressly, Chyler Leigh (star of the current Marilyn Manson music video for the song "Tainted Love"), Deon Richmond, Chris Evans and Ron Lester. The entire conceit for this MTV Movie Special is that its meant to be "different" from other MTV movie specials in that the actual movie itself isn't discussed at length very much if at all throughout the show. Instead, Holmes is intent on showcasing the deductive capabilities of the cast by showing them a variety of clips from various MTV shows from the past and having the cast agree to a consensus on which of the vignettes they've been shown is, in fact, a forgery made by the MTV editorial staff to fool them.
Raven comes into play on this show in a segment called "Find The Fraud," where Holmes replays a segment Raven and Diamond Dallas Page did on MTV Live on March 17, 1998. DDP was on MTV being interviewed by Carson Daly along with The Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl & Taylor Hawkins. DDP is there to plug Spring Stampede the next WCW PPV. Raven shows up unexpectedly to taunt DDP and bitch and moan about how he should be the U.S. Champion. DDP blows him off, since Raven is only on a monitor. But it's all a trick as the Raven on the monitor is Memorex and the real Raven shows up and clocks DDP with a stop sign, knocking him down and spooking Carson and the Foo Fighters into leaving. Raven picks up the WCW U.S. Title, talks about how it should be his and lays it on a coffee table. He then picks up DDP and evenflows him through the table onto the belt and takes the title for himself. Besides this, they showed 3 other clips [Vanilla Ice lashing out at his past bubble gum rap videos since he's nu-metal now, Joey from New Kids on the Block lashing out at an MTV reporter and Jesse Camp interviewing overrated comedian, Kathy Griffen]. The fake turns out to be the NKOTB/reporter fight.
