NWA Total Nonstop Action: Raven Promo: NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Raven In-Ring Promo: (01.29.03] - NWA/TNA comes to us from the TNA Asylum and as the show begins the lights dim to greet the man from the Bowery -- Raven! Raven stands alone in the center of the ring, a lone spotlight shining on him as he sports the NWA World Heavyweight Championship around his waist accompanied by new dark and synth heavy theme music, having stolen it from the true NWA Champion, Jeff Jarrett, last week. Raven sports a red kilt and long, padded black boots as he grabs the mic and begins a diatribe against tradition:

"Possession is nine-tenths of the law, and what I'm wearing around my waist is the greatest prize this sport has to offer. A prize that men of honor and distinction, like Jack Briscoe, Harley Race and Dory Funk, have held. But, times have changed and there's a revolution going on and Jeff Jarrett just doesn't seem to get it. So I've taken it upon myself to right this egregious wrong. Some of you may call me mad, twisted, tortured, an evil genius, perhaps insane. But who are you people to judge me? You people are all degenerates and when the light of my brilliance shines down upon you, you all scatter like the cockroaches that you are! Jeff Jarrett -- Jeff Jarrett, I will do what I must to show you the error of your ways. If I have to, I will urinate in your bone marrow. I will rip off your neck and use it for a latrine. A wise man once said, 'You remember more the things you survive, more than the things you enjoy.' What I have planned for you, Jeff, is something you will never ever forget. Welcome to Raven's clockwork orange house of fun. Quote the Raven, nevermore."

Raven does the Crucifix as Jeff Jarrett runs down with a trash can and blindsides Raven with it! Jarrett bashes Raven with th trash can repeatedly into the ring as Raven takes the relentless beating. Jarrett tosses the can at Raven and grabs a table and pulls it into the ring! Jarrett bashes Raven with a chair and then follows with anotehr trashcan! Jarrett strips the belt off Raven and clocks him in the head with it as Raven lays prone in the ring! Jarrett sets up the table and punches Raven onto it. Jarrett grabs a trash can and goes to the top rope to impale Raven with it. Vince Russo runs down and grabs Jarrett on the top rope, which allows Raven to fight back with the trash can himself and superplex Jarrett through the table, which allows Raven to regain the belt. The NWA locker room runs out as Raven and Russo escape.

A recap airs of Raven's attack last week on NWA/TNA as he steals the NWA World Title from Jarrett, debuting in NWA/TNA.

Goldilocks then interviews Jeff Jarrett and says he wants a piece of Raven and he wants him in the ring to get his title back.

AJ Styles/Raven Confrontation - AJ Styles comes down to the ring and states he wants the NWA World Heavyweight Title and demands a shot from Jarrett for the belt. He's not with S.E.X. - he's not with Mortimer Plumtree -- he's the MackDaddy of the X Division but he's been there, done that and wants to be THE Heavyweight Champion. He's beaten everyone that matters, including Jeff Jarrett. Raven then makes his way down through the crowd stating that he's the NWA Champion now and not Jarrett and Raven doesn't feel AJ is NWA World Champion material and should stick to the X Division:

Raven: "Do you not pay any attention? Do you not pay any attention? Hey, do you not pay any attention? If you want the World Heavyweight Title, you need to come talk to Raven! I wouldn't worry abouy Jeff Jarrett and you may want to consider going back to the X Division, because I don't think you're ready to step in the league with someone of my calibre."

Styles: "Whoa ... whoa ... whoa. Is that a syringe in your skirt, or are you just happy to see me?"

Raven: "You know, that's kind of funny coming from someone who looks like Elton John's life-partner wearing an N'Sync starter kit."

Styles: "Real funny. Tell you what, to avoid me causing you any humiliation, why don't you hand over that World Heavyweight Title, crawl your little self back to the S.E.X. locker room so you can shoot up with a little more heroin!"

This sets Raven off and he lays the belt on the line as he and Styles have a standoff then get in each others' faces. Raven shoves Styles then Styles shoves Raven as the officials come down to break them up. Jarrett runs in, tosses Raven over the top rope, then hits Styles with the Stroke on the NWA Title and reclaims it as Raven yells from the crowd.

Jarrett does a promo backstage, citing Russo as his primary antagonist, behind Raven and Styles' attacks on him and Raven and Styles are secondary to Jarrett getting to Russo.

Raven Interview/Raven/Jarrett Confrontation - Tony Schiavone interviews Vince Russo and Raven in the S.E.X. locker room and Russo announces that he wants Raven to challenge for the NWA/TNA World Title in response to Jarrett's comments. Raven grabs the mic himself:

"Not next week -- tonight! Not next week! Jeff Jarrett, I want the title and I want it NOW! And if you got any kind of balls and I mean any kind of --"

Jeff Jarrett runs in and attacks Raven, tossing him against the wall and hitting him with a forearm as well as any miscellaneous S.E.X. members. Jarrett picks up a trash can and bashes Raven with it further. He throws Raven over the broadcast table, into the stands and hits Raven with a chair. Russo grabs Jarrett and holds him off. Raven low blows Jarrett and hits him the Evenflow, spiking Jarrett with the Raven Effect! Raven stansds in the corner as he yells at Russo to get the tables. Raven then hits Jarrett with a drop toe hold in a chair. Raven slams Jarrett's head against the table. Raven sets Jarrett up to evenflow him off the top rope through the table. Jarrett blocks it and crashes Raven through the table himself. Jarrett clocks Raven with the belt, knocking him out. Jarrett asks for the microphone and challenges Russo for a title match. Styles runs up from behind and attacks Jarrett and hits Jarrett with the Stroke on the belt. Both Jarrett and Raven are laid out as Styles takes the belt for himself as the show ends!

OFF THE AIR NOTES
Exclusive to ScottLevy.com:

This is what you guys didn't see, after the cameras stopped rolling.

Show ends with Jarrett and Raven both laid out, A.J. Styles has run off with the belt. Russo yells Raven! Raven!, and the PPV goes off the air...

Raven exits the ring and heads to the S.E.X. locker room. Russo is at ringside, and he sees that Jarrett is still down. Russo yells for Raven a few times, but Raven is in the back, and he doesn't hear him or come out.

Russo grabs the mic, and yells for Raven some more. Russo is yelling to Raven that now is the time to finish off Jarrett, because if he doesn't finish him now Jarrett is going to come back next week twice as pissed off. Raven comes back out, and jumps on Jarrett and starts kicking and stomping him.

Raven begins to stomp Jarrett a new asshole. Jarrett gets up on all fours. Raven continues the beatdown, and Jarrett gets up on his knees. Raven lays in with the punches, and Jarrett is just taking them, one after another. Jarrett gets up onto one knee, and Raven lays into him with the forked tongue ... I couldn't make out what Raven said, but it sounded like he had bad intentions. Raven pounds Jarrett some more, and Jarrett starts shaking his head, and he stands up, a la Hulkamania. Jarrett blocks a punch, and lays into Raven with a punch of his own. Now they are going toe to toe, and Jarrett is getting the better of it. They exchange about 10 punches, and Jarrett nails Raven with a low blow. Jarrett picks up the chair that was in the ring, and lays out Raven with a hell of a chairshot. Jarrett throws down the chair, and tells Raven that the World Title is staying around his waist. Jarrett exits, and Raven lays in the ring, twitching.

Raven eventually gets up, and makes his way to the Sports Entertainment Xtreme Locker room.

NWA Total Nonstop Action Xplosion: Raven Activity Recap: (01.25.03] - Show opens with the clip of Raven's TNA debut, evenflowing Jeff Jarrett and stealing the title. Bert Prentice and Jeremy Borash welcome us to TNA Xplosion and plug the PPV, and heavily plugged Raven's appearance in TNA.
Bert and Jeremy talked about all of the names that have shown up in TNA in the last few weeks. They named Piper, Koloff, Road Wariors, Dusty, Sanders, Konnan, Flair, and all of the others. Bert said that after Raven this week, he expects to see Bea Arthur next week. He said nothing would suprise him after Raven. Borash agrees.

Bert and Borash talked about Raven again, and how Russo took control of TNA in one night with Low Ki and Skipper taking the Tag Straps, Siaki holding on to the X title, and Raven stealing the Heavyweight Title. They pondered how Jarrett would get the title back from Raven.

Jeremy Borash mentioned that since Raven walked out the door with the NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE, no one in the company has seen it. They don't know what Raven did with it, and they don't know how they are going to get it back. But Bert said they have to get it back somehow, and we are all going to have to tune in Wednesday night to find out if Jarrett can get his belt back from Raven. Recap aired of Raven's entire NWA/TNA Appearance on 1/22.

Announced on this show for NEXT WEEK'S NWA/TNA PPV:

Jeff Jarrett will try to take back control of his NWA World Heavyweight Title from RAVEN and Vince Russo.

NWA Total Nonstop Action: Raven Appearance: NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Don Harris vs. Christopher Daniels vs. B.G. James vs. Jeff Jarrett: (01.22.03] - At the start of the show, we saw Vince Russo's Sports Entertainment Xtreme [S.E.X] faction of NWATNA announce that it had acquired a new talent who could only be described as a "gift" and Russo made his way to call the talent for later tonight at the TNA Asylum in Nashville, Tennessee.
Later on in the show after a failed attempt to wrest control of the NWA World Heavyweight Title from its current holder Jeff Jarrett. Mike Tenay came in the ring to interview Jarrett when a man dressed in black leather rushed the ring from the ringside seats and attacked Jarrett. It was Raven, fresh off leaving WWE upon realizing that WWE was beyond the salvation that his masterpiece might bring, eager to make an impact! Raven then grabbed Jarrett and hit him with rechristened Evenflow DDT. The rest of the TNA Asylum stood in shock as Raven mugged Jarrett of the NWA Title and went up the ramp to celebrate his acquisition of the title with his faithful, only to be called down by Vince Russo to ringside as the dark horse to take away Jarrett's title. Raven has joined Sports Entertainment Xtreme as Russo's designated hitman against tradition!

AFTER NWA/TNA WENT OFF THE AIR:

When the PPV went off the air, the show didn't stop. Jarrett got up a bloddy mess, and was yelling for Raven to come back out. Russo and S.E.X. were scattered at Ringside, and they all went to the back. All of the faces, Jarrett, Lynn, Killings, Rhodes and everyone else that was out there took a shot on the mic calling out Raven. Raven didn't come out.

Ron "The Truth" Killings then got back on the mic and said:

"Raven, I know where you came from, and I've been there. I don't know what you are doing here in my Asylum, but just because the show is off the air doesn't mean the show has to be over. We have a packed house here that wants to see some more action. So get back out here Raven and we can do this right now!"

Russo came out first, then Low Ki and Christopher Daniels, and Killings berated them on the mic. Elix Skipper came back out, and then the rest of the Heel Locker room emptied. All but Raven.

Jarrett got back on the mic screaming for Raven to come back out, and Russo said Raven wasn't coming back out because he has the gold now. Jarrett spit at Russo, and they teased a big brawl, but S.E.X. didn't enter the ring. Russo ordered the troops back to the locker room to celebrate, because NOW was the time to be celebrating their victory, with Raven.

S.E.X. headed to the back, and Jarrett was talking some incoherent babble about getting his title back from Raven next week. Russo showed Jarrett the bird, and the show was over.

WWE RAW: Raven vs. Jeff Hardy: (01.13.03) - RAW comes to us from Mohegan Sun, CT as the War of The Monsters rewind of the week shows us the events of HEAT on 1/12 where Raven attacks Hurricane only yo have Jeff Hardy save him from Raven's wrath. In the past few weeks, we've seen Raven continually snap and in doing so shed aspects of his persona after being frustrated. He dropped the kilt he had been wearing for months in his match with Dreamer on HEAT on 12/29 and this week is no different. Raven has let his braids go and now has much shorter blonde hair as he squares off one-on-one in a grudge match against Jeff Hardy on RAW. The winner of this match gets to be the last entrant for the RAW side in the Royal Rumble.
Raven comes down to the ring sporting his cassock with completely black tights and knee-length boots with black kickpads. JR and Jerry The King Lawler are shocked at Raven's drastic change in appearance. Raven is very no nonsense in his appearance and Ross and Lawler put over how this signals a big change in Raven's motivations on RAW. The 2 men lock-up and Raven dominates early-on, getting a 2 count on Jeff off a shoulder tackle. Jeff gets a 2 off a school boy and another 2 off a leg takedown after a flurry of exchanges between the 2. Jeff knocks Raven over the top rope and goes for a Swanton, but Raven recovers and pulls Raven's legs to the outside, taking him down and whipping his leg to the ringpost. Raven kicks Jeff's legs out from under him and works over his legs repeatedly. Jeff recovers and goes for another Swanton and misses. Raven gets a 2 off that. Raven continues working Jeff's injured leg, trying a spinning toe hold as a submission. Jeff tries a heel kick to escape then hits a jawbreaker on Raven and then works Raven over for a bit with a dropkick for a 2. Raven gets up and tries a Raven Effect, Jeff goes for a Swanton but blows it, which lets Raven capitalize with a 2. Raven takes Jeff down and hits a slingshot on him. Raven goes for the Raven Effect, but Jeff slips out and hits a Swanton on his 4th attempt for the pin.

WINNER: Jeff Hardy via Pinfall. (04:07)

WIN/LOSS Singles Record for 2003: (0/1)
WIN/LOSS Singles Record vs. Jeff Hardy: (2/2)

WWE Sunday Night HEAT: Raven Appearance: Jeff Hardy vs. The Hurricane: (01.12.03) - HEAT comes to us this week from the America West Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. On the last edition of HEAT on December 29, 2002, we saw Raven win his freedom from HEAT by defeating Tommy Dreamer at Chief Morley's request. In the same segment we saw Raven and The Hurricane disucssing something. This week, we see more of that cryptic issue between the two playout.

Hurricane had just defeated Jeff Hardy in a hard fought match-up and was offering to get him on his feet. Suddenly, we see Raven run into the ring and attack Hurricane, gripping him in a side headlock and dropping him down with the Raven Effect. Jeff Hardy sees this and he and Raven square off, with Jeff getting a dropkick in on Raven and then Hurricane and Jeff team up to do a clothesline to knock Raven out of the ring as we're still in the dark as to what Raven's motivations here are with the Hurricane.
