MLW Underground TV: Raven Appearance: (06.30.03) - Joey Styles talks about how CM Punk thinks he's better then everyone because he's Drug Free, alcohol free, nicotine free, basically free of everything, and that Raven couldn?t pass a drug test if he stayed up all night studying.. But despite the fact that Raven hasn't been his moody, self loathing, miserable self lately, he has been on a winning streak and gloats about his win over CM Punk most of all. CM Punk wants another piece of Raven, and Raven wants to comment on that.

Raven sitting in a chair: "CM Punk? CM Punk?"
CM Punk walks in: "Ah boy I've been looking all over for you."
Raven: "Speak of the devil."
CM Punk: "Yeah speak of the devil and the devil appears. Just because I haven't beaten you in the past, I don?t want you to think you're going to get away scot free. Because sometime soon, out of the frying pan and into the fire. Me and you are going to go at it one more time and we'll see who the better man is."
Raven: "Could you use a few more clichés?"
CM Punk: "Yeah I can use as many clichés as I want. Keep running Raven." (walks away)
Raven: "Running? Running? What a jackass. CM Punk, unfortunately for him, will be on the receiving end of what has come to be known as, the Raven Effect. Quote the Raven, nevermore."

Joey points out that Raven's experience won?t allow him to fall victim to CM Punk trying to get inside his head, which CM Punk is so desperately trying to do.

The Franchise said no one in the NWA would give him a spot in TNA because of who he is, but that tonight he had made a deal with the devil to get inside. Raven came out and attacked him, but Glenn Gilbertti came out and mugged Raven. CM Punk, who has been trying to curry Raven's favor and join the Gathering also came out and got stomped by Douglas. Finally, of all people, Jeff Jarrett came to Raven's aid, beating off the former XPW Champion and Gilbertti.

Douglas then challenged Raven and Jarrett to a tag match. Raven agreed reluctantly, saying although he hated Jarrett, he hated Douglas more. Raven injured his ankle early in the match-up. NWA Total Nonstop Action: Raven Promot; (06.18.03) - It's the 1 Year anniversary of NWA:TNA at the Asylum in Nashville, TN this week. The show opens up with the arrival of "The Franchise" Shane Douglas who last week attacked Raven during the main event 3-way dance between Raven, AJ Styles and Jeff Jarrett, costing Raven the win and the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

Raven/Shane Douglas Confrontation; - AJ Styles & Vince Russo were out doing a promo, with Russo saying he was taking AJ and the NWA World Title "to New York" [i.e. The WWE]. D-Lo Brown comes down to the ring and challenges AJ not to lose his convictions by taking a cheap shot route to fame and glory by winning the title through an unholy alliance with Vince Russo. Vince goads D-Lo into attacking him and Russo and AJ double team D-Lo.

At this point, Raven runs down to the ring and attacks AJ. Russo tries to interject but Raven turns to lay the smackdown on Russo, pointing the finger of righteous indignation at him. Raven is about to DDT Russo, when Shane Douglas runs into the ring and Raven and Shane brawl to the back.

CM Punk/The Gathering Segment - We see Alexis Laree and Julio in the back. Alexis intimates that she and Julio screwed up again by not coming to Raven's aid when he was attacked by Shane Douglas. CM Punk walks up as Alexis and Julio are arguing and asks Julio if he's gotten the chance to talk to Raven about CM Punk wanting to get into the Gathering. Julio states that it isn't a good time to talk to Raven right now since he's upset over the attack by Shane and we can see the doors to Raven's locker room shaking as he's in there destroying the room. Alexis repeats that when Raven is upset he can be something of an asshole. CM Punk then sayes that he just wants into the Gathering to which Julio replies that he doesn't even know if there will be a Gathering anymore. Punk states that there will always be a Gathering as he does Raven's Crucifix pose and states "Quote CM Punk ... nevermore!"

Raven Interference: Sting & Jeff Jarrett vs. Syxx-Pac - Raven runs down in this match to stop the interference being done by Team Russo. As soon as he comes in, Shane Douglas comes in and he and Raven brawl to the crowd. Raven eventually tosses Shane over the tope and only Raven, Sting and Jeff Jarrett are left in the ring. Jarrett and Raven face-off in the middle of the ring and are about to throw down when Sting comes in between them. Sting mediates a bit then raises Raven and Jarrett's hand, unifying the 3 against Russo ... for now.

NWA Xplosion Matches:

The Gathering of Julio Dinero w/Alexis Laree beat a local worker. Julio won with the FlatLiner. Alexis did a fucking beautiful top rope diving tornado DDT. (not a standard Tornado DDT) She leaped like a cross body block, caught the DDT, and Tornado'd Julio's opponent to the mat. It was VERY impressive. She nailed it. Very fast, and quite impactful.

After the PPV went off the air....

Russo got on the mic, spewing a profanity laden promo about killing everyone. Jarrett and Russo went back and forth for a few minutes. Sting got on the mic to a huge applause and talked about how glad he was to be there, and he was ready for anything tonight. He basically told Russo to put up or shut up.

Russo threw a fit. He wanted Jarrett one on one. He said that the people payed their hard earned money, and since it was the anniversary show, they were gonna give one away for free.

Jarrett accepted. Russo took off his shirt, and Sting and Raven left the ring.

AJ and 6 Pac followed him into the ring for a 3 on 1, but Raven and Sting stormed the ring to even the odds. Russo franticly slid out of the ring, and 6 and AJ ran back up the ramp.

Jarrett was in the ring, Sting was on the outside to the left, and Raven was on the outside to the right. Russo was in between Raven and Sting.

Sting pointed his bat at Russo, and Russo looked like he was going to shit a fucking brick surrounded by the 3. (Kudos to Russo for the hiliarious acting here) Raven charged Russo, and Russo ran under the ring to hide, rather than get his ass beat. Jarrett and Sting walked around the ring, lifting the apron, looking under the ring for Russo. Raven sat on the announcers table, looking on in amusement.

Jarrett got back on the stick, and told AJ and 6 Pac to come get their boy, because he just shit his pants and he's hiding under the ring.

AJ and Syxx came to the ring, and started walking around, pulling the apron up looking for Vince. AJ was yelling VINCE?!? Are ya under there? AJ got on the mic and said he couldn't find him.

Syxx got on the mic, and said he didn't come here to play games, he came here to kick some ass.

He said he wanted a 6 man Tag with Raven, Sting, and Jarrett, against AJ, Russo, and himself. AJ agreed. Jarrett agreed. Raven nodded on, and Sting got back on the mic and said it's Showtime.

Russo finally (at least 10 minutes later) came out from under the ring. After some conversation, the heels charged the ring, but quickly retreated to the ramp.

Russo was stratagizing with his boys, when Perry Saturn came out from the back, and walked down the ramp.

Saturn was only wearing a thong, and a fanny pack. He walked to the end of the ramp, and raised both arms declaring some kind of victory. It was horrible.

AJ looked on with a bewildered look on his face, and Syxx took the mic and said this was too much, and now he needed a beer. He said if no one is going to fight, he is going to the back to get his party on. No one spoke up, so Syxx Pac exited.

AJ followed him... and then came back out to get Russo.

Jarrett, Raven, and Sting celebrated in the ring. This was THE spot for photo ops. Raven got up on the turnbuckle, struck his infamous Crucifix, and Sting shot the "nWo point" up at Raven. When Raven got down, Sting shook his hand, and raised his hand high, and pointed at Raven with his other hand and said "He's the Real Deal". Raven, Sting and Jarrett did various different variations of their trademark poses together.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ring of Honor: Raven & BJ Whitmer vs. CM Punk & Colt Cabana: (06.14.03) - CM Punk and Colt Cabana defeated BJ Whitmer and Raven in a "Code of Honor Waived" match, [i.e. "Raven's Rules" match]. Punk cut yet another great promo putting over his straight edge revolution vs. the revolution Raven began "ten years ago." Raven came out and said that last time they were here (Punk beat Raven via submission) Raven's problem was that he was in a good mood, and cut an angry promo. They started out with a regular tag match but it soon broke down into a brawl into the crowd. Whitmer and Punk both bled, Punk really heavily. Raven and Punk brawled to one of the walls by the bleachers with Whitmer and Cabana soon following. They brawled back into the crowd. Raven gave the fans a trash can to hold while he ran Punk's head into it in a cool interactive spot. Punk legdropped Raven off the top rope through a table. Whitmer was pinned here. Really good brawl! Cabana suffered a gash on the inside of his arm right which required him to go to the local hospital to get stitches.

WINNERS: CM Punk and Colt Cabana via Pinfall.

WIN/LOSS/DRAW Tag Records against CM Punk & Colt Cabana: 0/1/0
WIN/LOSS/DRAW Tag Record for 2003: 2/1/0

USA Championship Wrestling: Raven vs. Buff Bagwell: (06.13.03) - Bagwell reminisced about having his first WCW match in Gainesville before he turned on the crowd. Strong pop for Raven. He said Bagwell's promo was garbled, as if he had something in his mouth. Raven said let's make it a Raven's Rules match. Raven sold like a maniac for Bagwell's offense, taking some good shots into the rail. Bagwell did his posing routine and gave the crowd a full moon. Raven gave Bagwell a drop toehold onto a chair. Bagwell hit Raven AND the ref with low blows. Bagwell missed with the Blockbuster. Raven superkicked Bagwell for the pin. Postmatch, Bagwell attacked Raven with an electric chair drop and a Blockbuster on Raven.

The opening videos showcase each particpants claim and desire to being the NWA Champion, including videos of Raven's promos the past few weeks and his sitdown interview with Mike Tenay on the 6/4 NWA/TNA PPV where he claims that Jeff Jarrett could no sooner stop him than the coming of the dawn.

We go to the back where Raven is standing by with The Gathering: Alexis Laree & Julio. Raven is wearing the 3 black vertical lines down his face and an Infinite Body longsleeve shirt. Raven gets on the microphone and explains his strategy to Julio for the match-up tonight:

"The infinite gulf between man and superman -- that is where greatness lives. That is where I will aspire to be tonight. Tonight, I will achieve my destiny. The prize is within my grasp. Tonight, I will close my fist and become NWA World's Heavyweight Champion."

"However, if I know D-Lo Brown and I do know D-Lo Brown, he's gonna feel like last week I cost him his opportunity at being in this match tonight with AJ and me and Jeff Jarrett. So I need you to make sure that he does not interfere in anyway in my quest and my destiny ..."

Julio emphatically insists that he will take D'Lo out in his match tonight, but before Julio can finish running D-Lo down, D-Lo shows up and jumps Raven in the back lot. Julio steps in and he and D-Lo start brawling which leads into their match:

Julio [w/Alexis Laree & Raven] vs. D-Lo Brown - Back and forth match with Julio doing Raven's bidding in trying to take Raven out. Alexis interferes jeavily to try and give Julio the win over D-Lo Brown, including hitting a massive suicide plancha on D-Lo early on. Hardcore action with Julio doing a lot of offens ein teh hardcore milieu to weaken D'Lo's neck. Julio's strategy is not to pin D'Lo but to punish him. He gets a 2 count off a legdrop and another off a frontface legsweep and another off a snap suplex. Julio is in control of the match by the midway point and hits an inverted DDT for the 2. Alexis chokes D-Lo against the ropes. Julio goes up top and hits an tornado DDT into an Ace Crusher, which Tenay dubs the Dream Theater [a nod to the progressive band Dream Theater]. Jarrett makes his way out to a video proclaiming him pro-wrestling's only real World Champion due to his title defenses all over the world.

NFW: Raven vs. Dinn T. Moore: (06.07.03) - The Announcer first introduces Nick Loken to ref the match, and then moves on to the opponents. Then Dinn T. Moore makes his way to the ring with Jaci Johnson, his valet. Dinn T's wearing his usual red checkered shirt with the sleeves cut off and a pair of black shorts, the only thing missing from his lumberjack getup is his trusty axe.

Raven's theme from TNA, "Scream", then pics up and he starts the long walk from his secluded - and separate - lockeroom near the back of the building. The fans can get a clear shot at him through the plastic hockey barrier that spans the entire distance. He's wearing a grey pleated kilt with pink stripes, it looks new. When he reaches the first entrance to the main area, he turns and walks out to the ring.

He climbs the turnbuckle and salutes the crowd with the Crucifix, then comes down and sits in the corner. Dinn T and Jaci taunt him. Raven pulls himself to his feet by the top rope and turns to stretch his arms, warming up. Dinn T comes running to splash him from behind, but Raven moves out of the way in time. Dinn T hits the corner, stumbles out and is greeted by several punches - the 4th sends him to the mat. Dinn T recovers, gets up, and is greeted with a clothesline that sends him over the top rope. Raven climbs out to follow him. He picks Dinn T up and throws him onto a few empty chairs. He asks the fans to get up and then whips Dinn T across the seats. Raven takes the Crucifix position again before grabbing Dinn T by the hair and bringing him back to the ring.

Dinn T gives him a punch to the gut, Raven responds with a forearm to his back and then sends him surfing through another section of seats. He then grabs my stop sign and biffs Dinn T in the head with it. He slides the sign into the ring and then pumps his fist into the air to get the crowd going again - the start a "lets go Raven" chant. He grabs Dinn T and whips him into a soda machine, then goes in for a pin attempt. Barely getting a 2 count, he picks Dinn T up and whips him into the plastic barracade. Another pin attempt, this one nearly taking a 3.

Raven whips Dinn T into a concrete wall and then takes a plastic garbage can and hits him in the head again. He then dumps it's contents all over Dinn T. He grabs a nearby volley ball and throws it at Dinn T's midsection, he then pulls him to his feet and they head back towards the ring. Dinn T manages a few punches at his chest, but Raven gives him a kneelift. While Dinn T falls, he hits him again with another trash can and then takes a moment to slap the hand of some fans. He goes for another pin, with a kickout at 2.

Raven begins getting a bit frustrated and grabs a chair while Dinn T starts back to his feet. Raven stands him up and sends his head crashing on top of the closed chair. Dinn T falls to the ground. Raven grabs the volley ball once more. He "winds up" and throws it at Dinn T's groin. He picks him up by his head and whips the lumberjack into the ring. Raven follows him in after sliding a chair in and then places it between the top and middle ropes in the corner. He whips Dinn T into the chair and then takes the Crusifix pose again. Dinn T gets up slowly and staggers toward Raven, then falls face first to the matt. Raven cracks his knuckles and then places the stopsign between the ropes in a different corner. He grabs the still dazed Dinn T and whips him nearly through the stopsign! Raven punches Dinn T in the groin area and then moves to help him to his feet. Low blow by Dinn T, and then a stiff kick to the back of Raven's leg.

He starts working on Raven's left knee starting with several stomps. He then places a chair over his leg, bounces off the ropes to stomp on the chair. He pulls Raven by the legs over near the ropes, he hooks the knee and pulls on his leg. Referee with a 5 count. Jaci grabs Raven's leg and pulls on it while Dinn T distracts the ref. Raven grabs at his knee and rolls around the ring screaming.Dinn T goes for a pin attempt, a 2 count by the ref. The "Let's go Raven" chant starts up again. Raven rolls to the outside and falls to floor. Dinn T climbs outside and goes for an elbow drop, missing terribly. Both men slowly get to their feet. Raven goes for a punch but Dinn T cuts him off with a punch to the knee.

Raven rolls into the ring. He slowly gets to his feet but then falls over, clutching his knee. Dinn T gets in the ring. Raven gets up, but Dinn T clips him in the knee. He then picks up Raven's leg and drives the knee into the mat. He stands for a few seconds with his hands on his hips before going for the pin, but Raven was in the ropes. Dinn T places his left leg on the bottom rope and steps on it. He then jumps up, landing on Raven's knee. Dinn T taunts the rowd and then repeats his last move. He taunts the crowd some more, setting Raven up for the same move again, but Raven kicks him with his right foot, sending Dinn T over the top rope to the outside.

Raven hobbles to his feet and Dinn T comes back in to give his knee another kick. A "Raven" chant starts up as he slowly gets to his feet. Dinn T taunts the crowd and then grabs a chair, setting it up in the middle of the ring. Raven stumbles into a corner. Dinn T moves in and tries to whip Raven into the ropes, but he reverses it and gives Dinn T a drop toe hold onto the chair. He rolls to the ropes and grabs at his knee again. He flexes his leg while Dinn T still is barely moving from the last move. Nick Loken starts a 10 count, Raven and Dinn T are to their feet by 8.

Dinn T goes for a punch, it's blocked by Raven who returns with 3 punches of his own. Raven spins around completely and gives Dinn T a clothesline. Both men go down. Raven gets up and grabs Dinn T, whipping him into the far corner. Raven hits the ropes and catches Dinn T who was sumbling backwards, delivering another clothesline. Dinn T gets up, knee lift by Raven. Dinn T gets up again and Raven whips him into the far corner. He runs in to grab Dinn T, delivering a bulldog. Raven goes for a pin, but Jaci is distracting the ref. Raven moves over to grab her, pulling her into the ring. He puts Jaci over his knee, spanking her.

Meanwhile, Anicrusix, the NFW Hardcore Champion, has a table brought to ringside. Raven sees Anicrusix climbing into the ring and asks him, "You want a piece of me, tough guy?" Jaci crawls into a corner and Dinn T checks on her. Raven catches Anicrusix with several punches and then whips him into Jaci, squashing her. He stumbles back. The ref goes to check Jaci, followed by Dinn T once more. Raven grabs Anicrusix and whips him back into the occupied corner. Dinn T moves in time, but the ref is hit. Dinn T grabs Raven and drops him onto his knee. He then yells for the table.

Anicrusix slides the table into the ring. Dinn T stomps on Raven's leg as Anicrusix begins to set up the table. Dinn T then lends him a hand as Raven tends to his battered knee. Dinn T gives him a kick to the chest when he tries to get up and then moves to help position the table. Raven hits Anicrusix and he falls out off the ring. Raven then moves to hit Dinn T, but DinnT strikes first, catching Raven with a punch. Dinn T slams Raven's head onto the table and rolls him onto it. Dinn T climbs to the top rope and jumps. Raven sits up at the last moment and Dinn T goes through the table.

Raven then falls backward and rolls onto Dinn T for the winning pin. The ref raises Raven's hand and he stumbles backward, hitting the corner. He then rolls out of the ring and shakes hands with the fans and hobbles back to the lockeroom, high-fiving people. He pauses one last time to raise his hand before going to the back.

GOLDYLOCKS: "Raven, last week Vince Russo returned to TNA at your expense. I'm figuring you're waiting for him right now. What are you gonna do to him when you find him?"

RAVEN: "I'll get to that in a minute. But first, I want to talk about Jeff Jarrett. Jeff Jarrett has somehow staged a number one contender's match tonight -- and I'm not included. I find that to be insulting and demeaning. Eh, but what do you expect from Jeff Jarrett? This is a degenerate who will do anything to hold onto his glory. You know, I've been doing some thinking and I've come to the conclusion that Jeff Jarrett is the David Hasselhoff of Professional Wrestling. I mean, think about it: both of them have beat the odds. Neither of them have any discernible talent or charisma and yet both of them have managed to be not one, but two hit television programs. You know, Knight Rider and Baywatch for Hasselhoff -- WCW and TNA for Jarrett. And then they both deluded themselves into thinking that the shows were a hit because of them. Baywatch is a hit because guys will watch girls solve complex trigonometry problems as long as they're wearing bikinis and TNA is a hit because of the path of carnage and destruction and the pile of bodies that I've left in my wake. I will achieve my destiny and I will win my belt!"

"Oh, and Vince Russo ... Vince Russo, if you EVER touch me again, I will rip your face off and use your cranium for a flower pot. Quote the Raven, nevermore ..."

Raven Interview with Mike Tenay - This is Raven's first sit-down interview with TNA and Tenay is going to ask some questions to Raven about his career leading up to his tenure in TNA:

TENAY: "Raven, let's first touch on your history in what has been a most eventful career. let's begin with ECW. No question, you were an integral part of Extreme Championship Wrestling at what I think has to be recognized as the most influential period in that company's history."

RAVEN: "Well, I'll tell you what. Raven/Sandman and Raven/Dreamer were two of the greatest feuds in the history of wrestling. I would stack them up with Buzz Sawyer/Tommy Rich, Sgt. Slaughter/The Iron Sheik. I mean, the magnitude -- the length and magnitude, the carnage, the verocity, the bloodletting -- I think it speaks for itself."

TENAY: "From there, you were onto WCW, where you were the leader of Raven's Flock."

RAVEN: "Yeah, that was .. umm .. that was an interesting deal. They paid me hundreds of thousands of dollars to sit in the front row and drink beer with my buddies. Good work if you can get it."

TENAY: "I guess you would probably have to classify it as a disagreement that you had with Eric Bischoff that led to your departure from WCW."

RAVEN: "Ehh ... disagreement, I'm not really sure if that's the right word. I mean, you know, philosophically, we had some differences I mean, but for the most part we were on the same page. What happened was, he called a meeting and in this meeting, he said 'Raven' -- he singled me out -- he says 'Raven, if you're not happy with the company, there's the door' -- so I quit. What was I gonna to do? Let him abuse me in front of other people? I mean, forget it. It's not my style, it's not my nature."

TENAY: "Seems to be a pattern developing there though where you took your ball and you went home."

RAVEN: "It is my ball."

TENAY: "From there to the [sic] WWE, where I think the consensus opinion was you were misused?"

RAVEN: "Misused? You mean shit on? Is that what you were looking for? They shit on me?"

TENAY: "That probably describes it better than I did."

RAVEN: "Yeah, I think it does. Look, The past is the past. Let's stay with the current."

TENAY: "Yeah, let's talk about the present here in NWA/TNA and there's no denying the impact that you've had here, including wrestling Jeff Jarrett in the main event on the most watched program in this company's history."

RAVEN: "Yeah, you know, I find it amazing that a man of so little skill, so little talent and absolutely zero charisma has found a way politically to rise to the top of ... to the top of the heap. I find it insulting, I find it degrading, I find it bad for the sport. It's an embarassment."

TENAY: "How do you feel tonight? You're on the outside looking in when AJ Styles faces D'Lo Brown - one on one - where the winner is going to be the number one contender to the NWA World's Heavyweight Title."

RAVEN: "That's ... that's just insulting, Mike. A number one contender's match and I'm not in it? I mean, if I haven't proven to everyone here at the Asylum and across the world that I am the number one contender, the rightful heir to the NWA/TNA Title -- it's bullshit, Mike. It's bullshit."

TENAY: "Let's take you back one week ago tonight. Your thoughts on the attack by Vince Russo?"

RAVEN: "You know, look, a 53 year old man trying to live out his little fantasy life. You know, the guy went to wrestling school in his 30's and washed out after the first couple of weeks, cuz he's a pussy. I mean, and so now he's trying to live vicariously through the S.E.X locker room. Look, the guy hit me with a baseball bat, he wants to do that? Fine. Everybody else wants to attack me? Come on, fine. I don't care who it is. I mean, there are so many people out to get me now, because, let's face it, I'm not the nicest person in the back. I'm not the guy that you'll want to associate with. I'm a little different, a little eccentric. You know and some may say I'm paranoid, but just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me."

TENAY: "You've talked about it being your destiny to be NWA World's Heavyweight Champion. The current titleholder, Jeff Jarrett, he's promised you a title shot."

RAVEN: "Yeah, not the brightest move he's ever made. Jeff Jarrett could no more stop me than the coming of the dawn. Since the beginning of time, since that first muddy moment's rebellion, man has sought to know the unimaginable. To shake hands with the intangible. To measure the abstract with concrete gauges. To fit the mind of the infinite within the imagination of the finite. The prize is within my grasp. All I have to do now is close my fist. Jeff Jarrett, welcome to Raven's Clockwork Orange House of Fun. Quote the Raven, nevermore."

Raven Appearance: D'Lo Brown vs. AJ Styles - Raven enters and grabs a chair ... D-Lo and Styles roll back in the ring, and Styles escapes a pin by putting his foot on the ropes. D-Lo picks up Styles and the two trade punches, when Styles hits an amazing standing star press on Brown. Styles pulls Brown into the corner, and goes for the Tornado DDT, which is countered by Brown. Styles goes for a flying cross body block from the top, which is reversed into a faceplant by D-Lo for a 2 count. Styles rolls on the ground, and Brown goes up to the top rope. Styles goes up and tries for a superplex. Instead Brown hits a powerbomb off of the tope rope for the 2 count. Dinero pulls the ref out of the ring, and Raven hits Brown with a chair. Styles hits an incredible somersault splash off the top rope for a 2 count. Styles sets up for a Styles Clash into a chair. Styles hits the move, and scores the 1-2-3 to gain the #1 contender spot.

However, due to Raven's actions, The TNA Executive Committee rules to make next week's match a 3 way dance for the NWA Title with Raven added to settle his business with Jarrett once and for all!
