NWA Total Nonstop Action: Raven vs. Vampiro: (10.29.03) - This week, Raven reaches his penultimate obstacle in his path of retribution towards Jim Mitchell; that obstacle being Raven's one-time protege and teammate, the man known as Vampiro. The same man who cost his Raven his hair and his identity in NWA/TNA several weeks ago. Raven has sworn revenge and this week he gets one step closer to it by taking on Vampiro in a Dream Blood Gallows of Retribution dog collar match -- a match devised in Raven's twisted imagining which can only be won by stringing up your opponent, tossing the over the top rope and choking them into unconsciousness!
Scott Hudson is in the back with Father Mitchell and his only remaining follower Vampiro. Hudson asks him what will happen if Raven makes it past this final hurdle and gets his hands on Mitchell:
Mitchell: "Well you know, Scott Hudson, I haven't slept in three days. My phone rings at all hours of the night and everytime I pick it up, I hear Raven's voice saying "Dream blood, Mitchell .. dream blood." Well, Raven, I've said it before; I'm not an athlete, I'm not a wrestler and if you got your hands on me, you'd hurt me. But it won't happen. Remember, Raven, I hold the key to your soul and besides Vampiro has promised me he won't let me down. Tonight, you face him in a Gallows of Retribution match. Four chains on all four sides of the ring and the only way to beat your opponent is to throw him over the top rope and choke him until he can't go on. Well, Raven, I can promise you the last man standing will not be you. And Raven, 'violent messiah,' tonight you're going to meet your maker: crucified not on a cross of gold, but lynched on a chain of humble steel!"
Hudson: "Raven's march continues right now."
"Dream Blood" Gallows of Retribution Match: Raven vs. Vampiro - Mitchell leads his charge, the former El Vampiro Canadiense [Canadian Vampire], to the ring as he is now Mitchell's last chance at avoiding the wrath of the violent messiah himself, Raven. Raven's music hits the P.A. and he makes his way to the ring from the crowd with his closely cropped hair dyed jet black with parallel white lines drawn down his face and the words DREAM BLOOD scrawled on his chest in blood red. He drops to the corner and gets up to face Vampiro eye-to-eye in the middle of the ring. The crowd chants "RAVEN RAVEN RAVEN" which visibly unnerves Vampiro who starts the match of with a roundhouse kick to Raven's torso. Vampiro uses kicks to jab at Raven but Raven counters with punches of his own and kicks to the back of Vampiro's legs to knock him off balance. Raven dominates early with a lariat which deals Vampiro down. Vampiro counters with chops to the corner and whips Raven across the ring and tries a Stinger Splash but Raven counters with a kick to the chest as a block. Raven goes for an early win to lock a collar against Vamp's neck but Vampiro powers out. Raven goes outside and tosses 3 chairs into the ring, but Vampiro catches him coming back in with several punishing blows. Vampiro whips Raven across the rope goign for a huracanrana, but Raven reverses it into a power bomb and goes for the collar once again but can't cinch it in
Raven grabs Vampiro and whips the former punk rocker clad in Misfits elbow pads against the ropes and hits the drop toe hold on the chair. Vampiro's momentum tosses him out of the ring at which point Raven bows out onto the apron and uses the opportunity to lock one of the collars around the neck of Vampiro. Raven then tries to hang Vampiro, but Vampiro avoids the gallows at the expense of a nasty gash on his forehead. Raven contonues pounding on Vampiro's forehead with the steel chain, further increasing the bloodflow from Vampiro's head. The men trade overhand right fists and Raven finally hangs Vampiro, but Mitchell interrupts the lynching with a low blow on Raven. Raven goes after Vampiro with a steel chair, but Vampiro hits a backkick slamming the chair into Raven's face. Both men are down on the ground and Vampiro frees himself from Raven's dog collar. Vampiro goes up to the top rope and hits a spinning crescent kick on Raven from teh top, sending Raven tumbling to the ground.
The match goes to the outside as both men are heavily bleeding from the head. Vampiro wraps the chain around his head and starts headbutting Raven with it. Vampiro has a crazed look on his face as he pounds on Raven's bloodied face. Vampiro grabs a chair and slams Raven's face against it multiple times. Vampiro grabs Raven's arm and reverses it into an Evenflow DDT on the chair as Raven goes down. Vampiro locks a collar around Raven's neck and tosses him over the top rope. It looks like Raven is down for the count, but he rallies at the last minute, goes up and knocks Vampiro down. Raven is in a rage and takes Vampiro down hard with a lariat. He throws several kicks at Vampiro and clotheslines him down. Raven tries his bulldog/clothesline combo; Vamp thinks he powered out of it but eats superkick for being presumptuous. Raven locks Vampiro up in the middle of the ring with 2 collars and beats the chained Vampiro with 3 overhead trash can blows. Raven goes and grabs a table as Vampiro wanders chained in a stupor. Vamp finally escapes after a low blow and licks the blood off his face. Vampiro sets Raven on the table and goes up top, but Raven recovers and grabs Vampiro hitting him with a top rope Raven Effect through the table. Raven chains Vampiro and tosses him over the top rope and Vampiro submits: a choked bloody purple mess.

Raven stands in the ring victorious, but Mitchell comes up to throw a fireball at Raven. Raven avoids it and he starts to go after Mitchell, but CM Punk runs in and seemingly is a moment slow in stopping the assault to his mentor Raven as he knocks Raven down just as Mitchell escapes. Raven comes back into the ring and yells at Punk:
Raven: "What are you doing!? I had him! I said, it's mine, it's personal, please, you gotta let me do it on my own! Get out of the ring! Mitchell, I know you're listening, I promised you that I would take out your men, one by one by one. All that's left is you and me: dream blood, Jim Mitchell, dream blood. Next week, Jim Mitchell, you and I: last .. man .. standing!"

NWA Total Nonstop Action: Raven vs. Slash: (10.22.03) - Scott Hudson interviewed Jim Mitchell, with Slash. Mitchell claimed that Raven did something to him long before either of them came to TNA, and that Mitchell was getting vengeance for what Raven had done. Mitchell said that Raven's destiny is for failure. Slash will take on Raven in a dog collar match later tonight.
Raven entered through the crowd with several Raven feathers painted on his face as well as a line down his right eye. Raven went for the DDT at the start, but Slash rolled out of the ring. Raven used the chain to pull Slash into the ringpost over and over. Slash was busted open. Raven went after Mitchell, but the chain stopped him, and Mitchell kicked Raven low. Slash and Raven brawled on the floor. Slash choked Raven with the chain in the ring, and hit a reverse DDT/elbowdrop combo for two. Slash used the chain to choke Raven over the ropes. Raven used the chain to pull Slash into the turnbuckles, as the chain was wrapped around the post. Raven hit a series of kicks in the corner. Raven went for a DDT, but Slash blocked it and hit a Death Valley Driver for two. Slash went for the whirlybird powerbomb, but Raven floated over, so Slash hit a hangman's noose neckbreaker. Slash hit Raven with the chain in the corner. Slash went to hit him again, but Raven ducked, spun Slash around by pulling the chain, and hit the Raven Effect for the win in four minutes.

Post match, Raven hung Slash over the top rope, then grabbed Mitchell in a cobra clutch. Vampiro ran in and attacked, spitting mist at Raven. Raven, covered in green mist, made a comeback, but Mitchell choked Raven with his cane. CM Punk and Julio Dinero ran in for the save. Mitchell and Vampiro retreated, while Raven castigated Punk and Dinero - saying he didn't want their help.
Raven Promo - Don West started doing his hard sell for the new series of NWA/TNA PPV DVDs, when Raven came down to the ringside area with a microphone to issue a challenge against Vampiro next week for the latest deviant creation from Raven's twisted mind: A "Dream Blood Gallows of Retribution" dog collar match:
"Twenty years ago, Roddy Piper lost 80% of the hearing in his left ear in a brutal, bloody brawl with Greg Valentine and they put the dog collar match on the map. Next week, I'm gonna take that to the next level. Jim Mitchell, I got rid of Sinn, tonight I got rid of Slash and next week, it's Vampiro and then it's me and you."
"From the damaged, deranged mind that came up with the Clockwork Orange House of Fun, I've come up with a new one: a "Dream Blood Gallows of Retribution" match. At each rope, there's gonna be a chain with a dog collar. First one to put a collar on his opponent, throw him over the top and hang him until he's unconscious will be declared the winner. Quote the Raven, nevermore!"

Ring of Honor: Raven vs. Justin Credible: (10.16.03) - Raven and Justin Credible fought a great old school NWA title match. The story here involved Justin stating that he was tired of reading the Pro Wrestling Torch, Wrestling Observer and 1wrestling.com, and hearing that Raven had revitalized himself, and that he wanted to show how great he was. After 10 minutes, Raven got the victory following the Raven Effect DDT. Raven, in another stellar performance, told a masterful story.

NWA Total Nonstop Action: Raven/Father Mitchell Confrontation: (10.15.03) - Total Nonstop Action got off to an early start with Raven activity this week as we bore witness to Raven once again sporting the dog collar and chain, a now epononymous look introduced as a result of the actions of The Disciples of The New Church on Spetember 24, 2003, secured around Raven's neck. Attached to the end of Raven's chain is Father James Mitchell in street garb, as Raven got the upper hand in an ambush on the New Church's figurehead and mastermind. Raven drags Mitchell through the TNA Asylum and clims up up the perch to Raven's nest at the top of the Asylum. He loops the chain around the post and hangs Mitchell off the balcony, just like Mitchell hung Raven on 9/24.
Just then, Vampiro and Slash rush Raven, Raven fights off Vampiro and superkicks Slash. Raven kicks Vampiro in the head and he falls down the staircase. Slash nails Raven with a trash can as Mike Tenay relays that Sinn has been sidelined with a neck injury because of Raven's actions last week on TNA. Vampiro and Slash have the upperhand on Raven. Slash wraps the chain around his arm as Vampiro lays Raven out on a table. Slash climbs up to the top of the Asylum and jumps, landing a flying elbow with chain on Raven through the table as Raven begins to spasm in convulsions. Just then, CM Punk and Julio Dinero come down and fight off the New Church as the fight escalates to the ring. The Gathering and The New Church all pound in the ring awya at each other as it turns into a Pier 6 brawl as TNA Blackshirt security tries to break up the fight as it turns into a huge gothic melee and dogpile.
Raven Promo - Scott Hudson is in the back with Raven, CM Punk and Julio Dinero licking their wounds after the melee at teh start of the show. Tenay tells us that Raven is too badly hurt to compete against Slash in singles action tonight, but instead the match will be postponed til next week. This week, The Gathering of Punk and Dinero take on Vampiro and Slash of the New Church. Raven is then questioned by Scott Hudson about his strategy of trying to take out the whole New Church alone.
"This .. is between me and Jim Mitchell ... so whether I need your help or not, Julio .. Punk ... please ... thank you, but no thanks. This is personal. I have to do this by myself. Rules and responsibilities, these are the ties that bind us. If we did otherwise, we would not be ourselves. So I will do what I have to and I will do what I must ... Quote the Raven, nevermore."
With that, Raven gets up and walks away as Punk grabs the mic and tells Julio that Raven will be fine, but in the meantime, they still have a match against The New Church to get ready for.
Raven Appearance: The Gathering [Julio Dinero & CM Punk] vs. The Disciples of The New Chirch [Vampiro & Slash w/Father James Mitchell] - They went right at it before the bell, as Slash dove on Dinero on the floor. Vampiro and Punk squared off, first in the ring, then on the floor. Punk went to the top rope as Dinero had Slash on his shoulders, but Vampiro shoved him off to the floor. Vampiro and Slash double teamed Punk, who was busted open. It actually turned into a traditional tag match two minutes in. Slash and Vampiro took turns working over Punk, until Punk hit a full-nelson legsweep on Slash. Vampiro tagged in, and kneed Punk in the back, sending him into his corner to tag Dinero. Dinero cleaned house, hitting a spinning full-nelson slam on Slash. Vampiro went for a twisting senton on Dinero, but missed. Dinero put Slash on his shoulders, and Punk hit a springboard neckbreaker on Slash. Mitchell distracted the referee, and Vampiro blew mist at Dinero and then hit him with the Nail In The Coffin (Michinoku Driver) for the win. Post-match, the New Church continued their assault on Punk and Dinero, but Raven ran in for the save, taking down Vampiro and Slash, then chasing Jim Mitchell, tackling him in the stage. The brawl continued into the back.
Don West announces Raven vs. Slash will take place next week.

NWA Total Nonstop Action: New Church/Raven Promos: (10/08/03) - NWA/TNA for 10/8 has the pall of Raven's challenge to the New Church hanging over it as Raven claimed last week he would decimate their ranks until only Mitchell is left behind to pay for the sins of his group. Mitchell and company are interviewed by Scott Hudson who claim that they are a Hydra -- if Raven manages to cut off one head, then 8 more will come up to take their place. Tonight, Sinn of The New Church will take on Raven. Sinn has little regard for his own body and none for Raven as he demonstrates by taking several darts direct to his back as Slash giggles in sadistic glee.
Hudson then later interviews Raven -- who is wearing a black hoodie and still clutching the chain he was hanged with around his neck -- who reiterates that he will cut down The New Church to nothing and tells Punk and Dinero he'll take out Mitchell and his flunkies without their help as Punk confides in Julio that they'll still watch Raven's back nonetheless if he really needs it.
Raven vs. Sinn [w/James Mitchell] - Raven comes through the crowd wearing a black hoodie with the huge chain from his earlier promo wrapped around his neck. Raven runs in and starts pounding on Sinn and chokes out Sinn with a big chain. Raven wraps a chain around his hand and pounds Sinn with it. Sinn is at Raven's mercy. Mitchell screasm at Sinn and Raven from the apron as Raven sets his sights on the Minister, who Raven then chases after. Minister runs around the ring and circles back to Sinn as he lures Raven in and ambushes him. Sinn is bleeding heavily from the chain blasts. Raven is at Sinn's mercy now as the injury seems to have awakened a primal attack in him. Raven rallies and takes control after a series of lariats and kneelifts. Raven hits the combo/body splash and bulldog on Sinn and shortly after hits the DDT for the win. Raven wastes no time in winning the match.

Afterwards, Raven takes the chain, wraps it around Sinn's head and hangs him over the ropes in retaliation for the actions of The New Church from 9/24. Minister tries to stop him but Raven takes control. Slash comes out and lays out Raven. Slash swings the chain and tries to go after RAVEN. Raven superkicks him down and whips Slash like a government mule. Mitchell screams in terror as Vampiro comes to Mitchell's aide and takes Raven out with the Evenflow DDT. Vampiro and Slash now chain Raven by the collar and punish Raven as they go through the crowd to try and hang him again. Vampiro makes Raven his personal punching bag as Raven is strung up from the balcony. Punk comes and rescues Raven as Dinero fends off the New Church to get Raven out of there.
Later in the show, Tenay says that Raven has been taken to an emergency room because of his injuries.

NWA Total Nonstop Action: New Church Promo: (10.01.03) - NWA/TNA pre-show features a group promo with "The Franchise" Shane Douglas, Vampiro and The Disciples of The New Church. Shane goes on about how this motley crew of evil personified has come together to get rid of piece of crap like Raven. Douglas says that he has travelled all over the world and left pieces of himself in teh ring while beating down jackasses like Raven, CM Punk and Julio Dinero. Vampiro stands in the background stoically holding up a photo of Raven. James Mitchell get on the microphone and talks about how he told Raven that the New Church would execute Raven when they got a hold of him, so Raven can call Mitchell the hanging judge. The promo ends with footage of Punk, Raven and Julio dancing at the end of a rope from last week.
Raven Interference: The Disciples of The New Church vs. 3 Live Krew - At the start of the match-up, The Sinister Minister says Raven is finished and publically thanks Shane Douglas for helping him execute his plan to remove Raven from the wrestling world. Mitchell thanks Dougla for doing business with him and says if he ever needs Mitchell's help, to just call and ask. Mitchell says Vampiro and The New Church are moving onto phase 2 of their plan now that Raven is out of the way.
The match ends in a no-contest with Vampiro attacking The Truth when Raven runs in and lays into Vampiro with a vicious lariat knocking him down and raining blow son him. Slash runs in and Raven hits them both with a double clothesline. Raven sets Vampiro up for The Raven Effect, but Jim Mitchell breaks it up. Raven wraps a steel chain around Mitchell's neck to hang him but Douglas runs in to break that up. Raven clocks him with another clothesline and yet another to knock him out of the ring.
Raven does the Crucifix and grabs the mic from ringside:
"Look at my face, Jim Mitchell.You and your church have left me beaten, battered and bloody. You shaved my head and humiliated me. Last week, you tried to hang me. You're looking at a man with nothing left to lose. Jim Mitchell, I will make you suffer internally and eternally. But I won't come for you first. I want you to bear witness as I take out Vampiro, The New Church and Shane Douglas. One by one, I will eliminate them until only you and I are left standing. Dream blood, Jim Mitchell, dream blood, because I promise you a lifetime of sleepless nights. When everything is quiet and you're alone in bed, you'll hear your heart beating so rapidly you'll think you're gonna choke as it beats out the words, 'Raven ... Raven ... Raven.' Dream blood, Jim Mitchell, dream blood, I will have my retribution. Quote the Raven, nevermore!"
